Job Description

Job Summary
This role will primarily oversee the overall aspects of the Solar installation works on specific projects in the North West region.

This includes planning and delivery, organising logistics, delegation of work and ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, in budget and in line with contractual obligations.

Creating a positive culture, your duties will include supervising operatives, managing materials and ensuring a high standard of health and safety.

Daily Responsibility

  • Oversee operational duties on site

  • Promote a positive health and safety culture

  • Ensure exceptional quality workmanship which upholds our standards, complies with building regulations, and follow safety requirements

  • Ensure on-site safety through risk management and risk assessment

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and ensure regular communication

  • Manage and develop reporting staff

  • Provide exceptional customer service

  • Carry out pre-installation building inspections and technical surveys

  • Organise weekly material deliveries & returns

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Strong knowledge in Solar & Electrical installations

  • Hold competence in the relevant discipline C&G2391, Solar BPEC or LCL qualification,

  • CSCS/ECS Gold or Black Card

  • SMSTS/SSSTS qualification preferred

  • Ability to effectively communicate and build strong relationships with stakeholders of all levels

  • Previous experience in social housing preferred but not essential

  • Previous experience of working to PAS 2030/2035 preferred but not essential

  • Be able to effectively lead a team of engineers

  • Ability to instil and promote a great team mentality with strong communication skills

  • Strong time management skills, allowing switching between a variety of tasks and meeting a combination of daily, weekly and monthly deadlines

  • Must be analytical and problem solving with enthusiasm to enhance, improve, optimise, streamline

  • A flexible, self-motivating and agile attitude

  • Attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills

  • Able to use MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Full UK Driving Licence
