Your new company Join a large Federal Government organisation undertaking a significant uplift of its data and analytics capability. Working within a high profile program area, you will help deliver trusted data solutions that support operational decision making, risk management, and advanced analytics outcomes across a complex enterprise environment.
About the roleAs a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building and optimising scalable data pipelines that transform complex datasets into reliable, analysis ready assets. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to develop data models, integrate diverse data sources, and support analytics and reporting capabilities.
Key responsibilities- Designing and maintaining high performance ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.
- Developing and optimising Teradata SQL solutions and enterprise data assets.
- Implementing data governance practices, including data quality, metadata and lineage management.
- Supporting cloud data platform initiatives across AWS and Azure environments.
- Embedding analytical outputs into production ready data solutions.
- Driving continuous improvement, automation, performance optimisation and operational excellence across data platforms.
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer within large and complex environments.
- Advanced Teradata SQL and data modelling expertise.
- Proven experience developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality and metadata management practices.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable data solutions.
- A Baseline Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
- Initial 12 month contract with extension options.
