Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Utilities / Tools Administrator to manage, support, configure, and maintain vendor software tools within a large-scale IBM z/OS mainframe environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with CA Endevor and hands-on administration/support of mainframe development and configuration-management tools.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with IBM z/OS Mainframe environments.
  • Hands-on experience administering and supporting CA Endevor.
  • Experience with BMC DevX Code Pipeline / ISPW.
  • Experience with BMC Topaz Workbench.
  • Experience supporting IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz) v17.
  • Experience with CA-JCLCHECK.
  • Strong knowledge of JCL, TSO/ISPF, JES2 and mainframe utilities.
  • Experience with software installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of mainframe software configuration and change management.
  • Experience supporting development, test, and production environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot tool-related issues and work with application/development teams.
  • Ability to coordinate with software vendors for product issues, fixes, upgrades, and technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain CA Endevor environments, configurations, and software components.
  • Support and administer BMC DevX Code Pipeline / ISPW.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and support BMC Topaz Workbench.
  • Support IBM IDz v17 and related mainframe development tooling.
  • Administer and support CA-JCLCHECK.
  • Perform vendor software installation and maintenance using established mainframe processes.
  • Troubleshoot software/tool failures and analyze system and application issues.
  • Support application teams with source-code management, promotion, build, and deployment processes.
  • Manage tool configurations across multiple z/OS environments.
  • Assist with release, migration, and change-management activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation, procedures, configurations, and operational standards.
  • Work with vendors to resolve product defects and technical issues.
  • Participate in tool upgrades, patches, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Ensure mainframe utilities and development tools remain stable, secure, and available.
