Head of Structured Solutions -Digital Assets, Structured Finance - Tallentire

Our client is a regulated financial institution operating at the intersection of digital assets and traditional finance. They are establishing a new Structured Solutions function and are looking for a senior leader to own it.

This is not a build-from-nothing brief. You inherit an established, revenue-generating credit fund together with its counterparty relationships, an existing governance framework, and dedicated analyst support from day one. Alongside that comes a genuine mandate to set strategic direction, design what gets built next, and grow the team as the function scales.

You will report into C-suite, own the house view on structured product strategy, and act as the principal interface with the investment committee and key external partners.

1. Set the strategic direction for structured investment solutions, identifying and designing new products for a sophisticated client base
2. Lead delivery of yield products, digital asset-backed lending and tokenisation initiatives from concept through to launch, including the regulatory implications
3. Own initial and ongoing due diligence on counterparties, producing committee-ready credit assessments
4. Set, monitor and enforce exposure, concentration and limit frameworks, escalating risks promptly
5. Originate new counterparties and take lending proposals through investment committee to close, supporting Legal on documentation
6. Oversee fund operations alongside the fund administrator and accountant, ensuring NAV is struck correctly
7. Provide advisory input to Treasury on risk evaluation, pricing, ALCO and stress testing
8. Build, mentor and expand a small team of analysts

Credit judgement sits at the centre of this role. We need someone whose underwriting is as strong as their structuring — as credible assessing a counterparty as they are designing a payoff profile, with the judgement to walk away from a deal that prices well but underwrites badly.

1. Substantial experience across investment management, structured products or digital asset markets, including senior ownership of a product, credit or trading function
2. Demonstrable credit underwriting and counterparty risk experience, ideally including unsecured lending
3. Ability to diligence both sides of the market: regulated institutions using audited financials, capital position and covenant analysis, and digital asset counterparties, including custody and rehypothecation risk, venue exposure, on-chain analysis and complex cross-jurisdictional structures
4. Strong quantitative capability, comfortable building or overseeing pricing, risk and structuring models
5. A track record of designing and launching new financial products
6. Experience operating through formal governance processes such as investment committees
7. Proven people leadership and a genuine interest in where digital assets and structured finance meet

Regulated fund structures, fund operations and NAV processes, existing digital asset counterparty networks, balance sheet and treasury experience within a regulated credit institution.
