Software Engineer – Google Cloud Platform / Data Engineering

Job Description

We are looking for a strong Software Engineer with Cloud and Data Engineering expertise, preferably with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate should have strong Python programming skills and experience designing, developing, and supporting data engineering solutions in cloud environments.

The candidate will work on building scalable software and data solutions, developing cloud-based applications and pipelines, and integrating data across various systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and data engineering solutions.
• Develop data processing and ETL/ELT pipelines using Python.
• Build and deploy cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform services.
• Work with large datasets and develop efficient data processing workflows.
• Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and backend components as required.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, validation, and integration processes.
• Work with cloud storage, databases, and data processing platforms.
• Troubleshoot application, data pipeline, and cloud-related issues.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, architects, and business teams.
• Follow software engineering best practices including code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and version control.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Software Engineering
• Strong Python programming experience.
• Hands-on experience with Data Engineering, including ETL/ELT and data pipelines.
• Experience working with Cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with cloud services such as Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, or similar.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational and/or cloud databases.
• Experience with REST APIs and backend development.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
