Job Title: SAP FI Developer
Location: Irving, TX (1 - 2 days onsite  presence is required) 
Duration: 6 Months to long term contract 

• 
  The SAP FI Developer designs, builds, and supports custom development objects within SAP Finance (GL, AR, AP) across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA landscapes, with strong emphasis on S/4HANA-native development. This role delivers enhancements, integrations, and reports that support Finance transformation and automation initiatives — working closely with functional consultants, architects, and project managers to translate finance requirements into robust, performant technical solutions.
• The developer is expected to have deep hands-on experience with core FI development objects, SAP's modern extensibility toolkit (RAP, CDS Views, Fiori/UI5), and integration technologies connecting SAP Finance to third-party platforms such as payment processors, banking systems, and AR/AP automation tools.
• Job Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and unit-test custom objects supporting GL, AR, and AP processes across SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
• Build and enhance FI-relevant custom developments, including enhancements to SAP standard programs, BAdIs, user exits, and validation/substitution logic.
• Develop CDS Views, OData services, and RAP-based applications to support Fiori apps and S/4HANA reporting.
• Build and maintain interfaces between SAP FI and third-party systems (banks, payment processors, AR/AP automation platforms) using IDocs, BAPIs, APIs, and SAP PI/PO or Integration Suite.
• Support development of custom Fiori/UI5 apps and workflow-based approval processes tied to Finance transactions.
• Partner with functional consultants to translate FI/FSCM business requirements into technical designs, estimates, and specifications.
• Develop and support automation solutions using SAP BTP, RPA connectors, or AI/ML services integrated with SAP Finance processes.
• Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for existing custom FI objects, ensuring alignment with SAP clean core principles where applicable.
• Support testing (unit, integration, UAT), migration/cutover activities, and post-go-live hyper care for FI development objects.
• Maintain technical documentation for custom developments, interfaces, and enhancements.
• Technical Skills Required
• Strong hands-on ABAP development experience, including OOP ABAP, with solid grounding in FI-relevant objects (GL, AR, AP tables, BAPIs, BAdIs, user exits, validations/substitutions).
• Proven S/4HANA development background — CDS Views, AMDP, RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model), and Fiori Elements/UI5 app development.
• Experience building and maintaining SAP integrations — IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware such as SAP PI/PO or SAP Integration Suite.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP and extensibility concepts (side-by-side vs. in-app extensibility, clean core principles).
• Experience developing interfaces to third-party financial platforms — banks, payment gateways/processors, or AR/AP automation tools (e.g., High Radius or comparable) — including API-based integration patterns.
• Working knowledge of FSCM modules (Cash, Credit, Collections, Disputes) sufficient to support development in these areas.
• Experience with SAP Workflow, Business Rules Framework plus (BRF plus), or comparable tools for approval/automation logic.
• Understanding of performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting techniques for custom FI developments in S/4HANA.
• Exposure to DevOps/CI-CD practices for SAP development (e.g., SAP Transport Management, ADT/Eclipse-based development) a plus.
