Quick Overview
Job Description
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a DevSecOps engineer to build, secure, and operate the shared platform that our client's mission applications run on, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This candidate will work as part of a group to deliver and sustain EC2 and Kubernetes-based infrastructure hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and C2S, using infrastructure as code and GitOps practices so that environments are reproducible and consistently configured across multiple security domains.
What you’ll do:
You will build and maintain the automation that moves applications from commit to production — continuous integration and delivery pipelines, hardened container images, automated scanning, and the controlled promotion of approved artifacts into air-gapped environments. You will support teammates who manage Authorization to Operate (ATO) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, primarily by remediating security findings in platform infrastructure and container images. You must also be available to provide Tier 1-3 support for the deployed platform.
What you’ll need:
- 3 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure engineering
- 3 years of experience with Amazon Web Services or comparable cloud platforms, including core compute, storage, networking, and/or identity services such as EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM
- 2 years of experience building and maintaining continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools such as: GitLab CI, Jenkins, and/or ArgoCD
- 2 years of experience with containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes; AWS EKS experience preferred
- Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or a comparable language for automation and operational tooling
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Security+, CISSP, CASP, or equivalent), or DoD 8140 equivalent
Bonus Points if you have:
- Experience using AI agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode for software development as well as operational tasks such as deploying and updating software in Kubernetes clusters
- Working knowledge of Linux system administration
- Experience with secrets management and least-privilege access control, such as AWS Pod Identities, Secrets Manager, and External Secrets Operator
- Experience delivering software into air-gapped, cross-domain, or otherwise restricted-network environments
- Associate or Professional Level Cloud Certification
Security Clearance:
Must have an active Top Secret level clearance and must be willing to sit for a polygraph
