About the Role
Join a small avionics team designing and integrating power systems for hypersonic flight vehicles. You will own critical hardware subsystems from initial design through validation and production integration.
What You'll Do
Design power electronics PCB assemblies, including motor controllers, DC-DC converters, inverters, power switches, and power distribution systems.
Own the hardware lifecycle from schematic design through bring-up, debugging, validation, and production integration.
Define subsystem requirements and develop power system designs in the context of the overall vehicle.
Develop high-voltage and high-current systems for actuators, power filtering, and mission-critical avionics power buses.
Support ground systems power electronics as needed alongside flight hardware development.
What We're Looking For
3 to 15 years of hands-on power electronics design experience, including motor controllers, inverters, DC-DC converters, or power distribution PCB assemblies.
A bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
PCB design experience using Altium or an equivalent tool, with ownership from design through production.
Experience bringing up and validating hardware, with direct circuit design or debugging responsibilities.
Familiarity with SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink, plus high-voltage systems and EMI/EMC considerations.
Background in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, or another high-reliability hardware environment is valuable.
Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder and eligible for a security clearance.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
