The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, and position them within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks and container movements. • Maintain a safe work environment by strictly adhering to established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery is preferred. • Demonstrated commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Open availability for shifts, including potential second shift (4:00 PM-12:00 AM) or day shift (8:00 AM-4:00 PM), weekends, and holidays. • Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
