Senior Java Full Stack Engineer – Angular / Spring Boot / GenAI

Location: O’Fallon, MO – Hybrid (3 Days Onsite/Week)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Work Hours: 9 AM – 5 PM CST
Local Candidates: St. Louis, MO area only

We are seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to join at cleint location, with a Decision Management Platform team. This role is a hands-on position focused on full-stack development, production support, platform modernization, and AI-enabled engineering.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, Angular/React, and Oracle, along with exposure to cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices. Experience using GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development platforms is highly preferred.

Key Skills:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Java 8+, J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate experience.
• Strong Angular experience; React is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise applications.
• Strong Oracle/SQL database experience.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Chef, and Sonar.
• Experience supporting production applications, troubleshooting issues, and resolving complex technical problems.
• Exposure to GenAI/AI-assisted coding, testing, documentation, prompt engineering, LLM integration, or agentic AI patterns is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Role Focus: Approximately 60% backend / 40% frontend, with a combination of new development, production support, troubleshooting, modernization, automation, and platform enhancement.

Interview Process: 2 rounds – Manager round followed by a technical team round. The technical round may preferably be conducted onsite.
