The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) for loading, unloading, and moving shipping containers. • Safely manage the positioning of containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics and container movements. • Maintain a secure and organized work environment by adhering to established safety protocols. • Ensure accurate and timely handling of freight within the supply chain operations. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is required. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders and stairs on railcars. • Strong commitment to workplace safety and a keen eye for detail. • Capacity to work outdoors in various weather conditions and a willingness for flexible scheduling, including night shifts. • Basic communication skills for effective teamwork. • Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
