The Role

• Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to perform the critical task of loading and unloading shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Safely and efficiently maneuver containers within the intermodal yard using hostlers to ensure smooth logistical flow.
• Stack, move, and organize containers accurately using specialized equipment to maintain yard efficiency.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate container movements and daily tasks.
• Uphold a safe work environment by strictly adhering to all established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including second shift (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM) or day shift (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM), and required availability for weekends and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and meticulous attention to detail in all operations.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
