Help shape the next generation of advanced composite materials for aerospace, space, and defense.

SHD Composites, a Cambium company, is seeking an Aerospace and Defense Product Manager to champion our US product portfolio, including thermoset prepregs and high-temperature materials. You will connect customer needs with product development, testing, qualification, manufacturing, and commercialization.

This role is ideal for a technically strong composites professional who enjoys owning product priorities, solving material challenges, and turning performance data into clear guidance for customers and internal teams. Potential applications include aircraft, satellites, launch vehicles, rockets, missiles, and solid rocket motors.

• Manage product roadmaps and lifecycle priorities for aerospace and defense materials.
• Gather, validate, and communicate technical data supporting material selection and customer qualification.
• Lead new product introductions, material trials, testing plans, and qualification projects.
• Maintain accurate Technical Data Sheets, specifications, and qualification documentation.
• Support existing products, troubleshoot material concerns, and assess supplier or process changes.
• Partner with SHD and Cambium technical teams, Quality, Operations, and Sales to bring materials into reliable production and customer use.
• Participate in technical customer discussions and identify opportunities for product improvement.

• Strong knowledge of composite materials, particularly thermoset prepregs.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, space, or related advanced manufacturing.
• Experience in material development, product introduction, qualification, or technical product management.
• Ability to interpret test results, manage projects, and communicate clearly across technical and commercial teams.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ownership of project delivery.

• A degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• High-temperature composites, advanced resin systems, or demanding thermal applications.
• Aerospace material specifications, qualification processes, composites testing, or NCAMP material allowables.
• Product roadmaps, commercialization, and direct technical support of aerospace or defense customers.

Established in 2009, SHD manufactures advanced thermoset prepregs using carbon, glass, aramid, natural, and hybrid reinforcements. As part of Cambium, we are expanding our products, technical capabilities, and manufacturing footprint.

Full-time, exempt position. Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with flexibility for customer requirements and peak workloads. Travel to customers, company facilities, testing partners, and industry events is required as needed.
