Call Out: 1 week in 4 (£200 standby payment per week)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer to join a Building Services team. The company is looking for a reliable, customer-focused engineer with strong technical skills who enjoys delivering high-quality maintenance and building lasting client relationships.
The Role
You'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works across a varied Building Services environment, ensuring systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of building services plant and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and undertake repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, chillers, pumps, generators and HV electrical systems.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to the client.
- Complete all maintenance tasks in accordance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with the client through excellent communication and customer service.
- Accurately complete maintenance records, service reports and compliance documentation using the company's maintenance management system.
- Monitor plant performance and identify potential issues before they become critical failures.
- Support minor installation works and equipment upgrades where required.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently.
- Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are maintained in a safe and tidy condition.
- Participate in the on-call rota and attend emergency call-outs as required.
- Continually develop technical knowledge and undertake training, including working towards Appointed Person status where applicable.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience within Building Services or Facilities Management.
- Electrical qualification with 18th Edition.
- Knowledge of:
- High Voltage (HV) electrical systems
- HVAC systems
- Chillers
- Pumps
- Generators
- Ability to independently organise and deliver maintenance works.
Desirable:
- Experience as, or willingness to become, an Appointed Person.
