Fixed Asset / PP&E Accountant - Active Secret Clearance

Joint Base Andrews, MD | Hybrid (3-4 days onsite per week) | Long-term contract

Do you know federal property accounting inside and out? We're hiring Fixed Asset / PP&E Accountants to help the Department of the Air Force get its mission-critical assets audit-ready. You'll be the person who makes sure every asset on the books can be traced, valued, and supported when the auditors come asking.

What you'll work on:

• Prepare and maintain asset valuation models in line with SFFAS 6 and SFFAS 50

• Review and validate Key Supporting Documentation (KSD) so every asset is traceable and audit-compliant

• Reconcile Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) data to the general ledger and research the root cause of differences

• Support annual property attestations and audit deliverables

• Prepare journal vouchers, financial analyses, and reporting packages

• Work across financial and logistics systems to clean up data and close documentation gaps

You'll bring:

• An active Secret clearance (required)

• 4+ years in accounting, financial management, audit readiness, or audit remediation, including federal or DoD work

• Hands-on fixed asset, PP&E, or property accounting experience

• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets and reconciliations

• Clear written and verbal communication

• Ability to work onsite at Joint Base Andrews 3-4 days per week

Nice to have:

• Air Force or DoD financial management experience

• APSR reconciliation experience

• Working knowledge of SFFAS 6 and 50

• CPA, CGFM, or CDFM

• Power Query, SQL, or Python

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
