The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks.
• Skillfully drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Prior experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
