Ecommerce Delivery Lead

Our West Michigan Client is looking for a Delivery Lead for their ecommerce projects. This can be a remote role with quarterly onsite visits.

responsibilities:

Responsibilities Delivery & Release Planning

- Act as the primary Project Coordinator for the Backend Cart team.

- Build and maintain release plans for cart and checkout work, sequencing features, enhancements, and fixes across sprints and Program Increments (PIs).

- Drive the team's execution against larger planned initiatives, going beyond tracking progress to actively resolve schedule, scope, and capacity risks before they become delays.

- Personally chase down blockers, open decisions, and cross-team dependencies until they are resolved.

- Use sprint and PI ceremonies as tools to drive execution, not as an end in themselves, and keep the team focused on committed outcomes.

- Coordinate release readiness, deployment windows, code freezes, and go/no-go decisions for SAP Commerce Cloud releases.

Stakeholder & Program Coordination

- Partner with TPOs to turn priorities and roadmap commitments into achievable, sequenced delivery plans.

- Work with RTEs on PI planning, program-level dependencies, and execution across the release train.

- Engage business stakeholders to align on scope, timelines, and trade-offs, and provide clear status on progress, risks, and decisions needed.

- Proactively communicate schedule changes, risks, blockers, and release impacts to all affected teams and stakeholders so there are no surprises.

- Manage dependencies with adjacent teams, including front end/app, payments, tax, promotions/pricing, inventory, and order management.

- Plan delivery around peak retail periods and business calendars (holiday, ad events, major promotions).

Team & Vendor Coordination

- Coordinate day-to-day delivery across a blended team of team members and vendor/SI partner resources, including onshore/offshore hand-offs.

- Track delivery against agreed milestones and quality expectations, escalating gaps as needed.

Quality & Production Stability

- Partner with QA to make sure high-risk cart and checkout flows have strong regression, integration, and performance test coverage.

- Support incident triage and communication for cart/checkout production issues, and follow through on root-cause actions.

qualifications:

- 4+ years of experience in delivery management, project management, and/or Scrum Master roles.

- Experience delivering on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) or another enterprise eCommerce platform.

- Working knowledge of cart and checkout domains: pricing, promotions, payments, tax, and order submission.

- Experience working in a scaled Agile environment alongside RTEs and Product Owners.

- Experience coordinating delivery across internal and vendor/offshore teams.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including explaining technical risk to business stakeholders.

- Highly organized, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and dependencies at once.

- Track record of proactive, transparent stakeholder communication.

- Demonstrated history of driving complex technical initiatives to completion through hands-on execution, not just reporting on them.

Preferred Skills & Experience

- SAFe experience (PI planning, ARTs) and/or certification (SAFe, CSM, PSM, PMP).

- Retail or grocery eCommerce experience, including omnichannel fulfillment.

- Familiarity with checkout and payment processes.

- Experience using monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog) to track checkout health and order errors.
