Salesforce Technical Delivery Lead/Technical Project Manager

Position Title: Salesforce Technical Delivery Lead / Technical Project Manager (TPM)

Experience Required: 12+ years in IT, including 7+ years of Salesforce experience

Reporting To: Enterprise Salesforce Platform Leadership

Location : Dallas, Texas

1. Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced, technically strong, and execution-driven Salesforce Technical Delivery Lead / Technical Project Manager to oversee enterprise Salesforce platform modernization, technical debt remediation, security improvements, and integration modernization initiatives.

This is a hands-on technical delivery role requiring deep Salesforce platform expertise, strong architecture knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to closely supervise multiple System Integrator (SI) partners.

This is NOT a traditional project management, Scrum Master, or coordination role.

The selected candidate must be capable of independently reviewing technical work, challenging SI partner estimates and solutions, scrutinizing user stories, monitoring daily execution, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. SI Partner Management & Daily Execution

* Closely manage SI partner teams, architects, developers, and technical resources.

* Conduct daily execution reviews at the individual resource, story, and task level.

* Review and challenge SI partner estimates, delivery plans, and resource assignments.

* Scrutinize every Epic, User Story, technical task, and acceptance criterion.

* Independently validate actual progress rather than relying on vendor-reported status.

* Track daily commitments, blockers, dependencies, defects, and deliverables.

* Challenge delays, inadequate technical solutions, and incomplete deliverables.

* Hold SI partners accountable for quality, productivity, timelines, and commitments.

* Escalate risks promptly and drive corrective actions.

B. Salesforce Technical & Architecture Oversight

Must possess strong technical knowledge across:

* Salesforce platform architecture and multi-org environments.

* Apex, triggers, asynchronous processing, and governor limits.

* Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, and Visualforce.

* Salesforce Flow and automation architecture.

* SOQL, data models, and performance optimization.

* REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, CDC, and integration patterns.

* MuleSoft, middleware, and enterprise integration architecture.

* Salesforce security, sharing, permissions, OAuth, SSO, and Connected Apps.

* Salesforce Shield, encryption, auditing, and security remediation.

* DevOps, CI/CD, Git, release management, and deployment processes.

* Salesforce sandboxes, testing, and environment management.

The candidate must be technically credible enough to challenge Salesforce developers, architects, and SI partner technical leads.

C. Platform Modernization & Technical Debt Remediation

Lead execution and delivery oversight for:

* Salesforce Classic-to-Lightning modernization.

* Legacy Apex, Aura, Visualforce, and Flow remediation.

* Technical debt assessment and remediation.

* Integration modernization and API rationalization.

* Security vulnerability remediation.

* Salesforce Hyperforce migration readiness and remediation.

* Performance optimization and platform standardization.

* Data quality, data model, and automation improvements.

D. Stakeholder Management & Communication

* Engage with business-unit technology leaders, architects, security teams, and application owners.

* Coordinate cross-functional technical dependencies and decisions.

* Communicate technical risks and delivery status to senior leadership.

* Facilitate technical reviews, working sessions, and issue-resolution meetings.

* Maintain clear ownership, accountability, and escalation processes.

* Prepare concise, evidence-based executive status reports.

E. Delivery Governance & Quality Assurance

* Maintain detailed delivery plans, milestones, RAID logs, and execution trackers.

* Review story readiness, technical designs, acceptance criteria, and implementation evidence.

* Validate code review, testing, deployment, and production-readiness activities.

* Track SI partner productivity, defects, rework, and delivery performance.

* Ensure remediation work is fully documented, tested, deployed, and accepted.

* Drive disciplined execution with minimal supervision.

3. Required Qualifications

* 12+ years of enterprise IT experience.

* 7+ years of Salesforce technical experience.

* Prior experience as a Salesforce Technical Lead, Solution Architect, or Technical Architect strongly preferred.

* Proven experience managing SI partners and enterprise Salesforce delivery programs.

* Deep understanding of Apex, LWC, Flow, integrations, data architecture, and Salesforce security.

* Experience with Salesforce platform modernization and technical debt remediation.

* Strong ability to review technical stories, estimates, solution designs, and implementation deliverables.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and escalation management.

* Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Agile delivery, and enterprise governance.

4. Preferred Qualifications

* Salesforce Application Architect / System Architect certification.

* Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.

* Salesforce Integration Architect certification.

* Salesforce Hyperforce migration experience.

* Experience with large, complex, multi-org Salesforce environments.

* Experience with security assessments and remediation programs.

* Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated-industry experience.

5. Ideal Candidate Profile

* Started their careers as Salesforce developers or technical leads and progressed into architecture or technical delivery leadership.

* Have managed multiple SI partner teams and complex technical delivery programs.

* Are comfortable getting into the details of every story, task, technical issue, and implementation decision.

* Can independently identify technical gaps, challenge vendor recommendations, and validate deliverables.

* Demonstrate strong ownership, urgency, attention to detail, and execution discipline.

* Can balance hands-on technical oversight with executive-level communication.
