Oracle NetSuite Finance Functional Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle NetSuite Finance Functional Lead to lead the implementation and configuration of NetSuite Financial Management solutions. This is a customer-facing role where you will work closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders, lead functional workshops, configure NetSuite Finance modules, and coordinate with offshore teams to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in NetSuite Financials, excellent communication skills, and experience leading full-cycle NetSuite Finance implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary functional lead for NetSuite Finance and work directly with client Finance and Accounting teams to gather requirements, validate solutions, and drive project decisions.

• Configure and support NetSuite Finance modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation, and OneWorld (Multi-Subsidiary and Multi-Currency).

• Configure and maintain Chart of Accounts, subsidiary structures, intercompany relationships, and financial consolidation settings.

• Configure SuiteTax, tax codes, tax groups, and tax reporting to support local and multi-jurisdiction tax requirements.

• Design and configure SuiteFlow approval workflows for journal entries, vendor bills, expense reports, and payment approvals.

• Lead client workshops, solution demonstrations, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and end-user training sessions.

• Coordinate daily activities of the offshore functional team, assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure project milestones are achieved.

• Support month-end and period-end financial close activities, including Revenue Recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15).

• Develop financial reports using NetSuite Saved Searches and SuiteAnalytics.

• Lead financial data migration activities using CSV Imports for Chart of Accounts, customer and vendor master data, and opening balances.

• Prepare functional documentation, test scripts, training materials, and user guides.

• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide production support as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Oracle NetSuite Functional experience.

• Experience leading at least two full-cycle NetSuite Finance implementations as a Functional Lead or Senior Functional Consultant.

• Strong hands-on configuration experience with:

  • General Ledger (GL)

  • Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Fixed Assets

  • Bank Reconciliation

  • OneWorld (Multi-Subsidiary and Multi-Currency)

• Experience configuring SuiteTax, tax codes, tax groups, intercompany transactions, and financial consolidations.

• Hands-on experience with SuiteFlow for finance approval workflows.

• Experience performing financial data migration using CSV Imports.

• Experience leading client workshops, requirement gathering sessions, SIT, UAT, and user training.

• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.

• Experience coordinating offshore teams and managing project deliverables.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite ERP Consultant Certification or SuiteFoundation Certification.

• Experience with Advanced Revenue Management (ARM).

• Experience with NetSuite Budgeting and Planning.

• Basic knowledge of SuiteScript and SuiteQL.

• Experience with SuiteCommerce, Payroll, or Project Accounting.

• Professional accounting certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent.

Education

Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
