Datastage Engineer

Introduction:

We are seeking a highly skilled Datastage Engineer to join our team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 years of development experience and possess strong knowledge in Oracle, PL/SQL, and Datastage. The Datastage Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our data integration processes.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Datastage
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand data integration needs
• Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability
• Create and maintain documentation related to ETL processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration processes
• Work with the team to ensure data quality and integrity

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Approximately 10 years of development experience
• Strong knowledge of Unix platform and batch scripting
• Experience working with Oracle and proficiency in PL/SQL
• Hands-on experience with Datastage for ETL processes

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with data warehousing concepts
• Knowledge of other ETL tools such as Informatica or Talend
• Certifications in Oracle or Datastage
