Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in mechanical product design, ruggedized enclosures, 3D CAD modeling, prototyping, and thermal/structural analysis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing mechanical components for mobile communication products and harsh environmental conditions.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 10 + years of Mechanical Engineering experience.

  • Strong proficiency in PTC Creo (Creo 8 or later preferred) or SolidWorks.

  • Experience designing ruggedized IP-rated enclosures, seals, and gaskets (IP54 and above).

  • Hands-on experience with plastic components, injection molding, die casting, sheet metal fabrication, and CNC machining.

  • Experience in 3D CAD modeling and detailed engineering drawings.

  • Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, SLA, and CNC machining.

  • Strong knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), thermal analysis, and structural simulations.

  • Good understanding of heat transfer, solid mechanics, and structural mechanics.

  • Experience with EMI/RFI shielding, EMI gaskets, and housing metallization.

  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA).

  • Experience with Design Verification Testing (DVT), vibration, shock, and temperature cycling.

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 environmental testing standards.

  • Experience with ECAD/MCAD integration and component interference analysis.

  • Ability to create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and perform product cost analysis.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing ruggedized mobile communication products.

  • Experience with lightweight mechanical structures for drone or aviation applications.

  • Knowledge of magnesium casting and manufacturing processes.

  • Experience managing mechanical product development from prototype to production.
