Senior Java Architect – Contract-to-Hire

Industry: Banking / Financial Services preferred
Location: 100% Remote for first 6 months; must be willing to relocate to Pittsburgh, PA after 6 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, EST hours
Contract: Long-term contract through 2028 with potential conversion to full-time

Job Overview:
Seeking a Senior Data Architect with strong Java/J2EE and web application architecture experience to support banking regulatory reporting and CCAR/DFAST initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• 8–10+ years of overall IT experience with 5–6+ years in Java/J2EE architecture and development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, J2EE, and web application architecture.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Strong knowledge of JSP, Servlets, JSF, XML/XSLT, and Core Java.
• Experience with Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and Helm.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as Oracle or Teradata.
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance web applications.
• Banking, financial services, regulatory reporting, or CCAR/DFAST experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with Python, FastAPI/Flask, NoSQL databases, or cloud infrastructure is a plus.
• Must be open to conversion to full-time; sponsorship is not available upon conversion.

Preferred Background:
Candidates with banking, financial services, CCAR, DFAST, regulatory reporting, or large-scale financial application experience are strongly preferred.
