Hiring: Mainframe Developer (Tier III Support & Enhancements)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mainframe Developer to join our High Availability Scrum team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting enterprise-level production environments, delivering Tier III technical support, and driving complex application enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Application Delivery & Enhancements: Support production environments, application enhancements, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation activities across core mainframe applications.

Tier III Support: Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex issues. Implement required code, configuration, or application fixes to maintain system stability.

Agile & Scrum Collaboration: Actively participate in High Availability Scrum deliverables, daily stand-ups, and sprint ceremonies.

Best Practices & Standards: Adhere to robust coding standards, communicate roadblocks and progress effectively, and meet high-quality benchmarks and project timelines.

Requirements

Must-Haves (Required):

Proven background in Mainframe Development.

Strong hands-on programming experience with COBOL and Assembler.

Proficiency in CICS.

Demonstrated experience providing Tier III production support, application maintenance, and resolving complex mainframe incidents.

Experience working within an Agile/Scrum framework and participating in daily ceremonies.

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred):

Experience with FIS Systematics and/or Connex.

Hands-on knowledge of JCL and DB2.

Prior domain experience in Core Banking or Financial Services environments.
