Senior Engineer – OCR & EDI Systems

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in OCR and EDI solutions, application development, enhancements, and production support. The role involves designing, maintaining, and delivering scalable software applications while ensuring quality, reliability, and efficient deployment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain scalable business applications.
• Contribute to application architecture, system analysis, and end-to-end software development.
• Manage software releases, deployments, enhancements, and production support.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor engineering team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize business and functional requirements.
• Identify technical risks and assess the impact of hardware and software upgrades.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow Agile development practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in software application design, development, and support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technologies.
• Experience with OCR editor configuration and batch-processing support.
• Familiarity with FIS FormWorks, Mavro, OPEX, and Impira.
• Knowledge of the 834 EDI file format and related processing.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, system analysis, release deployments, and production support.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical guidance and support engineering teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
