Foster Parent Recruitment and Training Specialist - Child and Family Services

Health Connect America seeks a Foster Parent Development Specialist to recruit, train, and support foster parents providing therapeutic care to children and youth. In this role, you will conduct outreach, deliver pre service and ongoing training, complete home studies, and ensure compliance with licensing and agency standards. You will collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and community partners to match children with appropriate foster homes and monitor placement stability. This position combines fieldwork, documentation, and foster parent coaching to strengthen families and improve outcomes for children in care.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and screen prospective foster parents through outreach and information sessions.
• Conduct home studies, safety assessments, and licensing documentation for foster homes.
• Deliver pre-service and ongoing training to foster parents on trauma-informed and therapeutic parenting.
• Provide ongoing coaching and support to foster parents to promote placement stability.
• Collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and community partners on matching and ongoing support.
• Maintain accurate, timely case notes, reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with state, agency, and licensing standards for foster homes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case staffings to support child and family goals.
