Job Description

AUS-MEAT is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Junior Business Analyst to join a small, collaborative team focused on identifying and driving transformation projects to enhance systems and processes across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands on experience across business analytics, project delivery and system implementation.

In this role, you will:
  • Assist with business process analysis and solution design.

  • Gather and document business, functional and operational requirements.

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and user acceptance testing activities.

  • Analyse data, identify trends and patterns, risks, and improvement opportunities.

  • Prepare project documentation, reports, workflows, and process maps.

  • Support project delivery using Agile, Prince2, or similar frameworks.

We're looking for someone with:
  • A qualification in Business, Information Technology, Compliance, or a related field.

  • Business Analysis certification (IIBA, ECBA, CCBA, BCS Foundation, or equivalent).

  • Project Management Foundations certification, ideally in Agile or Prince2.

  • Prior exposure to business analytics, process improvement, or project delivery environments.

  • Experience in service-based organisations, government environments or assurance/auditing sectors (desirable).

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and business analysis tools such as Visio, Miro, Lucidchart, Confluence, or JIRA is desirable.

  • Comfortable with AI use and implementation.

  • A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
