About Us

Thrive delivers upon the promise of technology by enabling our clients’ digital transformation journeys with best practices on an AI, cybersecurity and cloud focused NextGen managed services platform.

Thrive’s culture is powered by diverse talent, big ideas, and a customer-first mindset—and it’s what truly sets us apart. Thrive is built for people who want more than a weekday routine. If you’re hungry to grow, eager to tackle new challenges and ready to drive real impact in a rapidly expanding environment, then welcome to THRIVE!

Position Overview

As an Account Executive on Thrive’s Velocity team, you will drive revenue growth across a high-volume portfolio of emerging and lower-complexity accounts through proactive outbound outreach, upsell and cross-sell selling, and disciplined pipeline management. This role is ideal for a motivated, early-career sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys high activity, and is energized by building relationships, uncovering client needs, and closing transactional opportunities. You will partner closely with internal teams to deliver a strong customer experience while helping clients access the right Thrive solutions to support their business goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a designated portfolio of Velocity accounts through proactive outreach, relationship development, and opportunity identification
  • Generate revenue by driving upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities across Thrive’s solutions and services
  • Conduct a high volume of outbound calls, emails, and follow-up activities to create pipeline and move opportunities forward
  • Qualify client needs, identify buying signals, and align Thrive solutions to customer priorities using a consultative sales approach
  • Own the sales process for transactional opportunities from initial outreach through quote, proposal, and close
  • Maintain accurate account details, activity tracking, pipeline updates, and forecasting within Salesforce and related sales tools
  • Partner effectively with internal stakeholders including service delivery, client success, solutions, and operations to support client needs and close business
  • Monitor account activity, service trends, and customer feedback to identify retention risks and growth opportunities
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets tied to bookings, activity, and account growth
  • Build knowledge of Thrive’s services, value proposition, and key market trends to communicate confidently with clients
  • Participate in sales training, coaching, role-play, and enablement activities to strengthen selling capability and accelerate performance
  • Complete required reporting, documentation, and administrative responsibilities with accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2+ years of sales, inside sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing revenue experience, preferably in technology, managed services, SaaS, or a related industry
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of outreach and sales activity while maintaining strong follow-up and organization
  • Experience generating revenue through upsell, cross-sell, renewals support, or transactional selling preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport, ask thoughtful questions, and clearly articulate value to clients
  • Ability to identify opportunities, qualify needs, and advance deals in a fast-paced, metrics-driven sales environment
  • Comfort using CRM tools such as Salesforce to manage pipeline, activity, and account information with discipline and accuracy
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize across multiple accounts and opportunities
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to a strong team environment
  • Curiosity, coachability, and willingness to learn Thrive’s solutions, sales process, and client needs quickly
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required for candidates with relevant sales experience and a strong track record of performance

Competencies to be Successful in the Role

  • Drive and Energy: Brings a high level of activity, urgency, and enthusiasm to managing accounts and creating opportunities
  • Customer Focus: Builds strong relationships and looks for ways to help clients solve problems and gain value from Thrive’s solutions
  • Sales Curiosity: Asks thoughtful questions, listens well, and uncovers underlying client needs and growth opportunities
  • Communication: Communicates clearly, professionally, and confidently across phone, email, and virtual interactions
  • Resilience: Stays motivated through rejection, setbacks, and changing priorities in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Organization and Discipline: Maintains strong follow-up, pipeline hygiene, and attention to detail across a high volume of activity
  • Coachability: Responds well to feedback, applies learning quickly, and shows a desire to continuously improve
  • Collaboration: Works effectively with internal teams to support clients, solve problems, and move opportunities forward
  • Adaptability: Adjusts quickly to new priorities, tools, messaging, and business needs in a growing organization
  • Ownership: Takes accountability for results, follows through on commitments, and demonstrates pride in doing the job well
