The Role • Operate specialized equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and safe handling. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform daily pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate container moves and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Strong commitment to safety protocols and a keen attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Open availability for the required schedule.
