Mortgage Loan Officer - Real Estate Lending

Altra Federal Credit Union is seeking a Real Estate / Mortgage Loan Originator to drive mortgage production within our member-focused, community-driven organization. In this sales and business development role, you will build relationships, generate and manage a robust loan pipeline, and guide members through the mortgage process from application to closing. You'll analyze credit, match members with appropriate products, and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborating with branch and lending teams, you'll support Altra's mission of delivering exceptional value, financial education, and service while growing your career in a stable, development-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Originate and close residential mortgage and real estate loans for members
• Develop and manage a sales pipeline to meet production and revenue goals
• Conduct member financial interviews, analyze credit, and recommend loan products
• Prepare and submit complete, compliant loan files through the LOS system
• Build relationships with realtors, builders, and community partners to drive referrals
• Educate members on mortgage options, terms, and the application process
• Ensure adherence to federal and state lending regulations and internal policies
• Collaborate with branch, underwriting, and processing teams to ensure timely closings
• Participate in community and networking events to expand market presence
• Track performance metrics and provide regular sales and pipeline updates
