Accountant II

Zachry Group is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform the functions of Asset Accounting within the Fixed Asset Team. Highly organized, an ability to manage multiple projects within set deadlines, ability to meet month-end close deadlines, and ensure the smooth operation of Asset Accounting. Ability to build on-going cooperation with other departments and a range of internal and external stakeholders will be essential in the success of this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Equipment rate development – Build rental rates for owned and augmented equipment
• Equipment rate development – Create and update equipment rates list per construction project 
• Equipment rate development – Audit equipment rates periodically to confirm billing the approved rates
• Prepare monthly P&L report by equipment
• Assist in preparing quarterly excess equipment utilization
• Record transactions and provide an auditable accounting trail

• Communication – Maintain consent communication with the equipment operation team

• Perform journal entries

• Scan documents and file in shared drive

• Other duties, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the Accounting field

• Proficient in researching on the internet

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Vlook up and pivot table)

• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Values ethics, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality

• Time Management

• Prioritization of work

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Asset accounting experience

• General knowledge of, or experience working in, the Industrial Construction industry

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will work in a general office environment. Capable of operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment. Must possess a vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less.
