Quick overview
Job description
About the Role
Join a defense and aerospace hardware team designing real-time electronic control systems for flight vehicles. You will own flight-critical hardware from initial design through validation and integration.
What You'll Do
Design control electronics boards, including motor controllers, actuator drivers, and feedback and control loops.
Own hardware end to end, from PCB design and bring-up through debugging, integration, and production.
Develop microcontroller, microprocessor, and mixed-signal circuits for processing and real-time control.
Work with guidance, navigation and control, avionics, and flight software teams on system integration.
Define requirements and make technical decisions across the full hardware design.
What We're Looking For
Three to fifteen years of experience designing control or power electronics hardware, including motor drivers or actuator controllers.
A BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Hands-on experience designing, bringing up, and debugging control or power electronics PCB assemblies.
Experience with analog and mixed-signal circuits for motor drivers, power conversion, or precision control loops.
PCB design experience from schematic capture through layout. Altium is preferred.
Familiarity with ARM microcontrollers, embedded hardware, CAN, and tools such as SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink. Experience with DDR, FPGA, or embedded C is relevant.
Background in a fast-paced hardware environment, with flight hardware or high-reliability experience in aerospace, defense, or automotive a plus.
U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility. Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
On-site in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
