The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is recruitment partner for a leading national construction and engineering enterprise located near the vibrant Atlanta metropolitan area. We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Lead Structural Engineer to spearhead structural engineering initiatives within a dedicated Food and Beverage division in Gainesville, Georgia. This pivotal role drives the complete lifecycle of structural solutions—advancing projects from foundational concepts through active construction and operational phases. By collaborating seamlessly with operations, preconstruction, architectural, and multi-disciplinary engineering groups, you will champion cost-effective, practical, and schedule-aligned designs that shape high-performance industrial environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect comprehensive structural engineering strategies for specialized food, beverage, and industrial facilities, serving as the designated Engineer of Record for in-house deliverables.

  • Direct full-lifecycle project phases, overseeing structural design production, coordination, and remediation frameworks for routine and emergency site conditions.

  • Synthesize multidisciplinary insights by partnering closely with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and process engineering teams.

  • Engage in design-build pursuits by shaping project scopes, developing proposal deliverables, and participating in high-stakes client presentations.

  • Maximize preconstruction collaboration through model-based estimating, budget alignment, and the evaluation of alternative design methodologies.

  • Oversee construction administration by reviewing submittals, answering requests for information, and conducting periodic site visits to gather critical project data.

  • Mentor junior engineers and design professionals to foster technical excellence, continuous workflow improvement, and rigorous professional growth.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

  • 5 to 15 Years of progressive structural engineering design experience within industrial, manufacturing, or specialized food and beverage environments

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license in Georgia, with eligibility for multi-state reciprocity

  • Revit, AutoCAD, BIM Collaborate Pro, BIM360, Navisworks, and RamSteel proficiency

  • CSI Specifications and SpecLink mastery

  • Construction Site Management expertise

  • Design-Build and Progressive Design-Build methodology experience

Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Annual Salary ranging from $120,000 to $180,000, accompanied by relocation assistance and full-time direct-hire benefits.
