The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move and position shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers efficiently and safely from railcars and trucks.
• Perform pre and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure full functionality and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics and container movements.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment by adhering to established protocols.
• Contribute to the smooth flow of freight operations by ensuring accurate and timely container handling.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Willingness and availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and a keen eye for detail.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
