Job Description

Job Title: Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Chicago, IL | Hybrid

Interview: Video

Work exp: 6 yrs+

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack enterprise applications.
  • Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices.
  • Build and consume secure RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces using React.js or Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Implement application security using Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT.
  • Work with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
  • Deploy and support applications using AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and ECS/EKS.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and work with Kubernetes where applicable.
  • Write unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and related testing frameworks.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support.
  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and other developers in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience with Java 8/11/17+.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Microservices.
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and web services.
  • Strong frontend development experience with React.js or Angular.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Strong SQL and database development experience.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with JUnit/Mockito and automated testing.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
  • Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Redis, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with OAuth2/OpenID Connect and API Gateway.
  • Experience in financial services, banking, healthcare, or other enterprise environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
