Location: Tampa, FL
Pay Rate: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or


• 3-10 years of related mechanical engineering experience, or


• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience Requirements

• 3+ years of mechanical design experience preferred


• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks and parametric modeling


• Experience with machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication


• Knowledge of bearings, gears, motors, couplings, tolerancing, and mechanical assemblies


• AutoCAD experience highly preferred


• Aerospace, defense, simulator, or manufacturing experience is a plus


• U.S. Citizenship required

Job Duties

• Design mechanical structures, components, assemblies, and systems


• Create 3D models, drawings, and documentation using SolidWorks


• Collaborate with electrical, systems, and manufacturing teams


• Support prototype development, testing, installation, and production


• Ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and maintainable


• Resolve engineering and production-related issues


• Participate in design reviews and customer presentations


• Assist with cost estimates and proposal development


• Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional projects
