Safety Parking Specialist - Security

Compensation: $17.25 – $25.89 per hour (Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.)⁠⁠⁠⁠

As a Safety & Parking Specialist, you are the welcoming face and first line of safety at Glens Falls Hospital. You play a vital role in creating a secure environment for our patients, visitors, and employees. Your presence, quick problem-solving, and professional care directly contribute to the smooth operations of our facility and the peace of mind of everyone who steps onto our campus.

How You Will Thrive (Key Responsibilities)

• Patrol parking areas and the garage to maintain a secure environment and report unusual activity to Security via two-way radio.
• Provide vehicle escorts, help with jump-starts, assist with flat tires, and warmly respond to all requests for assistance from staff and visitors.
• Maintain smooth traffic flow, enforce parking regulations, and accurately document violations or parking activities using Excel.
• Address parking lot incidents, conduct initial investigations, and collaborate with Law Enforcement when necessary.
• Handle essential courier services (such as bank deposits or court appearances) and assist with seasonal lot maintenance like snow removal or setting up barriers.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Credentials: Valid Driver’s License Required; NYS Security License is a plus, but not required.
• Experience: Background in security or parking enforcement is preferred, but we will train the right person.
• Skills: Excellent customer service skills with a helpful, friendly attitude.
• Physical Readiness: Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in all types of Upstate New York weather.
