Job Description

Product Manager - Data Solutions
Permanent
Location: Remote (UK)
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 (+ benefits)

Skills: Product Management, B2B SaaS, Data Solutions, Product Strategy, Public Sector

We are working with a growing UK technology business specialising in data solutions and SaaS platforms to recruit an experienced Product Manager.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established portfolio of data products, shaping product strategy, driving innovation and identifying opportunities for commercial growth.

The business works extensively with public sector organisations, helping customers improve data quality, connect disparate systems and turn complex information into meaningful insights.

The successful candidate will combine strong product management experience with commercial awareness, customer engagement skills and an understanding of data-driven software solutions.

This is a remote role with travel for team / customer meetings when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop the product strategy, vision and roadmap across a portfolio of data solutions.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer challenges and emerging trends to inform product development.
  • Work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, validate propositions and prioritise enhancements.
  • Shape the commercial positioning, pricing and go-to-market strategy for the product portfolio.
  • Translate customer and market requirements into clear product specifications, user stories and prioritised development backlogs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Delivery and Commercial teams to ensure successful product development and adoption.
  • Support sales opportunities, product demonstrations, tenders and customer renewals.
  • Monitor product performance, including adoption, customer satisfaction, retention and revenue growth.
  • Ensure products align with relevant data protection, security and accessibility requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager within a B2B software or SaaS environment.
  • Experience working with data-related products, ideally covering data quality, integration, automation, analytics or business intelligence.
  • Previous experience working with public sector customers or delivering software solutions into public sector organisations would be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing product strategies, roadmaps and commercially focused propositions.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including exposure to product pricing, market positioning and supporting sales activity.
  • Experience collaborating with software engineering teams, managing product backlogs and prioritising development requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to translate customer challenges into commercially viable product solutions.

Experience of public sector procurement, data visualisation, APIs or SQL would be beneficial but is not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Product Manager looking to take ownership of a specialist software portfolio within a growing business, with genuine influence over product direction, customer value and commercial success.
