Job Description

Install & Commissioning Engineer Bath & M4/M5 Corridor £36,000 - £42,000 + Company Benefits Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Install & Commissioning Engineer to join our expanding Fire & Security team.

Covering Bath and the M4/M5 corridor, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and handover of a wide range of fire, life safety, and electronic security systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering high-quality projects across commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities Carry out first-fix installations through to the successful commissioning of Fire & Security systems. Install, test, and commission fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and life safety systems. Assist with project handovers, ensuring all systems are fully operational and client expectations are met.

Work closely with the Lead Installation Engineer to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme deadlines. Ensure all installations comply with current legislation, British Standards, and company procedures. Support the Service Team when required.

Produce accurate commissioning records, as-fitted drawings, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) documentation. Record system information, including loop loadings, battery calculations, device schedules, wiring information, and commissioning data.

Liaise with site managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure projects progress efficiently. Manage your own workload, company vehicle, tools, and stock levels. Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.

Essential Minimum of 3 years' experience installing and commissioning Fire & Security systems. Current CSCS or ECS Card. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good attention to detail and a proactive approach. Competent using Microsoft Office. Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification. IPAF and PASMA certifications. Experience with the following systems:
