Job Description

The Role:

The HR Advisor provides professional, pragmatic, and customer-focused HR advice and support to managers and employees across the organisation. The role is responsible for delivering operational HR services, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies, and supporting people initiatives that contribute to organisational performance and employee engagement.

What You ll Do:

Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from managers and employees

Provide consistent, accurate, and timely HR advice in line with organisational policies and procedures.

Support managers in managing employee lifecycle activities including probation reviews, promotions, organisational change, and employee exits

Ensure effective onboarding and induction of new employees to ensure new starters have a positive experience of joining Axis CLC

Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems data

Produce and analyse HR reports and management information

Support HR audits and compliance reviews

Monitor employee absence levels and identify trends

Advise managers on attendance management procedures

Support wellbeing initiatives and promote a positive employee experience

Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are applied consistently across the organisation

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice

Support policy reviews and implementation of new HR initiatives

Ensure compliance with GDPR and confidentiality requirements

Participate in HR projects and organisational change initiatives.

Support consultations associated with restructures, organisational change, and workforce planning activities

Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and systems

Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, flexible working, and performance management cases

Support and coach managers through formal and informal employee relations processes

Attend meetings and hearings as required, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation

Prepare and review correspondence, documentation and case files

About You:

You will have experience of:

Providing accurate and timely HR administration and record keeping service

Delivering professional and legally compliant HR advice

Building positive stakeholder relationships

Contributing to organisational people objectives and HR initiatives

Effective management of employee relations cases

You will have:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong influencing and relationship-building abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills

High level of confidentiality and professionalism

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Essential Qualifications:

CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards)

Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
