Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop manufacturing, assembly, welding, and inspection fixtures using SolidWorks
- Create 3D fixture layouts, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and GD&T.
- Work with Manufacturing and Quality teams to validate fixtures and resolve shop-floor issues
- Identify opportunities to improve process capability, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop and maintain Standard Work Instructions and Video Work Instructions.
- Perform time studies, line balancing, VA/NVA/RNVA analysis, and capacity analysis.
- Develop Current State and Future State Value Stream Maps (VSM) and identify bottlenecks and waste.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for defects, quality issues, and downtime.
- Support Kaizen events and develop improvement roadmaps.
- Design and improve fixtures based on manufacturing and production requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on shop-floor experience – Mandatory.
- Experience with fixture design and manufacturing.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T.
- Experience with Time Studies, Line Balancing, and VSM.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Kaizen.
- Ability to develop clear Work Instructions.
