Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong tooling/fixture design and shop-floor experience. The ideal candidate will support fixture development, Lean manufacturing, process improvement, time studies, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop manufacturing, assembly, welding, and inspection fixtures using SolidWorks
  • Create 3D fixture layouts, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and GD&T.
  • Work with Manufacturing and Quality teams to validate fixtures and resolve shop-floor issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve process capability, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Work Instructions and Video Work Instructions.
  • Perform time studies, line balancing, VA/NVA/RNVA analysis, and capacity analysis.
  • Develop Current State and Future State Value Stream Maps (VSM) and identify bottlenecks and waste.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for defects, quality issues, and downtime.
  • Support Kaizen events and develop improvement roadmaps.
  • Design and improve fixtures based on manufacturing and production requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on shop-floor experience – Mandatory.
  • Experience with fixture design and manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T.
  • Experience with Time Studies, Line Balancing, and VSM.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Kaizen.
  • Ability to develop clear Work Instructions.
