Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

Must-Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
• 5+ years of experience with C, Java, and Oracle Database.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Shell Scripting, with the ability to read and interpret logs and debug files.
• Experience installing OS patches and third-party software, such as Oracle, NetApp, etc.
• Hands-on experience with system configuration, GitHub, and ClearCase.
• 5+ years of experience working on real-time or mission-critical systems.
• Experience picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems.
• Proven track record in problem analysis, identification, troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Outlook.
• Experience with GE Reliance (formerly XA/21) is required.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, Oracle, and/or system administration is a plus.
• Experience with Reliance Grid Applications is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for advanced Power Systems Application (PSA) software development and successful delivery of assigned functions to meet corporate project/product commitments.
• Work with Electric Utilities, ISOs (Independent System Operators), and TSOs (Transmission System Operators) on functional software specifications.
• Perform design, coding, testing, integration, application tuning, troubleshooting, and delivery of software solutions.
• Support real-time and mission-critical EMS/SCADA applications in electric transmission and distribution environments.
• Analyze and resolve production issues and implement fixes on live customer systems.
