Java Developer with Vert.x
Location: Phoenix, AZ – Hybrid
Experience: 6+ Years
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong Vert.x experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Java, Vert.x, REST APIs, microservices, and modern software development practices.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications using Vert.x.
  • Develop scalable and high-performance microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Integrate applications with databases, third-party services, and enterprise systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and production issues.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and technical documentation.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.
  • Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvement.
Required Skills
  • 6+ years of experience in Java development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Vert.x / Eclipse Vert.x.
  • Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17+.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and Microservices.
  • Good understanding of asynchronous and event-driven programming.
  • Experience with Spring Boot is preferred.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
