We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Saddle Stitch Operative to join our finishing team in Cramlington. 

Starting wage ranging from 25-27K depending on experience

Responsibilites

  • Operate and maintain digital cutting equipment, will cover Saddle Stitch using a Duplo I saddle 6000 and a Horizon machine also.
  • Leverage extensive print experience to accurately interpret job specifications
  • Optimise layouts for efficient cutting, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards
  • Collaborate with production teams to address specific project requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues related to cutting processes and equipment
  •  Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in digital printing
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of printing and cutting processes through hands on print expertise
  • Comply with all company and HSE Health and Safety rules
  • Abide by and support the company’s ISO 9001QMS

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Print Finishing Operative or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering finished products of the highest quality.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Capable of troubleshooting and resolving issues during the finishing process.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities throughout the working day
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift 20kg
