This opportunity is ideal for an early-career ServiceNow professional with a solid foundation in platform administration, IT Service Management (ITSM), and basic scripting who is looking to develop their skills in platform integration, automation, and federal mission support.

The position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, with onsite work at customer locations as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day ServiceNow administration, including user and group management, roles, access control lists (ACLs), forms, lists, notifications, and UI policies.
  • Support core ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request/Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Build and maintain catalog items, workflows, Flow Designer flows, business rules, and basic client-side and server-side scripts under senior engineering guidance.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve support tickets, and escalate complex issues to ServiceNow support when necessary.
  • Assist with platform upgrades, patching, instance cloning, and testing update sets across environments.
  • Maintain accurate CMDB records and support discovery and data integrity initiatives.
  • Assist with integrations between ServiceNow and other platform tools, including Morpheus, OpsRamp, Active Directory, and Keycloak, using REST APIs and MID Servers.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to support operational monitoring and leadership visibility.
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and audit-ready records in accordance with DoD security and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on ServiceNow administration experience.
  • Working knowledge of ITSM concepts and ITIL v3/v4 principles.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting fundamentals, including Glide APIs, business rules, and client scripts.
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II baseline certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, or the ability to obtain the required certification within six months of starting.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with senior engineers and the broader technical team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM (CIS-ITSM), or progress toward certification.
  • Experience supporting ServiceNow in a DoD or federal government environment; IL4/IL5 experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to REST API integrations, MID Servers, Discovery, or Service Mapping.
  • Familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), RMF, or other federal compliance frameworks.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
