Head Gardener

Located in the beautiful countryside, Charters Village is a picturesque retirement village that offers a tranquil and harmonious living environment for our residents. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Head Gardener to join our team and oversee the maintenance and development of our stunning gardens.

As the Head Gardener, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise and creativity by designing and implementing beautiful landscapes that enhance the overall aesthetic of our retirement village. You will lead a team of gardeners and work closely with other departments to ensure our residents can enjoy the beauty and serenity of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning, designing, and maintaining the gardens and grounds of the retirement village
• Managing and supervising a team of gardeners
• Ensuring the gardens are well-maintained and presentable at all times
• Implementing seasonal planting and landscaping projects
• Coordinating with other departments to plan and execute outdoor events
• Managing the garden budget and maintaining inventory of gardening supplies
• Providing guidance and support to residents who have their own gardens within the village
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

• Proven experience as a Head Gardener or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of horticulture and landscaping techniques
• Strong leadership and managerial skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for gardening and creating beautiful outdoor spaces
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other departments
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to garden maintenance
