Job Description

Linux Systems Administrator | Arlington, VA, United States | Hybrid | $77,600.00 - $176,000.00 This employer is a well-respected defense contractor known for its commitment to solving complex national security challenges. They are looking for a skilled Linux Systems Administrator to enhance their critical mission infrastructure. You will be instrumental in designing, deploying, and maintaining advanced solutions that protect vital government data. The Role • Design, deploy, and maintain Cross Domain Solutions in an enterprise environment. • Monitor and manage network performance, identifying areas for improvement. • Translate technical metrics into actionable insights for stakeholders. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members. • Identify opportunities to modernize network infrastructure to meet evolving customer needs. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system administration issues. What You'll Need • 3+ years of experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux or CentOS. • Experience managing virtual machines and VMware ESXi. • Knowledge of Linux firewalls, networking configuration, and DNS. • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam. • Bachelor's degree in an IT field and 5+ years of systems administration experience, or 12+ years of experience in lieu of a degree. • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant certification within 60 days of start date.
