Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Rust Engineer with strong experience building scalable backend services using Rust, Tokio, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and gRPC. The ideal candidate will have expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native development, and modern backend architectures.

Required Skills

·      7+ years of backend software development experience.

·      3+ years of hands-on production experience with Rust.

·      Strong knowledge of Tokio, async programming, concurrency, and multithreading.

·      Experience developing REST, GraphQL (async-graphql), and gRPC (Tonic/Prost) APIs.

·      Strong experience with PostgreSQL, SQLx, raw SQL, schema design, and database migrations.

·      Experience with authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC).

·      Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS (EKS), CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.

·      Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

·      Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

·      Experience with WebRTC, QUIC, TURN, NAT Traversal, or peer-to-peer networking.

·      Hands-on experience with NATS, JetStream, Meilisearch, and Ory Keto/Auth0.

·      Familiarity with GStreamer, media streaming, or video processing.

·      Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.

·      Knowledge of Rust FFI, Swift/TypeScript bindings, or Nix environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

·      Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services in Rust.

·      Build scalable GraphQL and gRPC APIs.

·      Develop asynchronous and concurrent applications using Tokio.

·      Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases and SQL queries.

·      Build cloud-native applications deployed on AWS EKS.

·      Implement secure authentication, authorization, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
