Transportation Clerk - Onsite

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Transportation Clerk for a contract position with a National Freight Company located in Baltimore, MD. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity.
Compensation: $20-$22 per hour, W2
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable Transportation Clerk to support daily transportation operations, check in drivers, and maintain accurate shipment records.
Key Responsibilities:

• Check drivers in and out professionally and efficiently
• Verify appointment details and transportation paperwork
• Provide clear instructions to drivers and direct them to the appropriate loading or unloading area
• Enter and update shipment and driver information in computer systems
• Communicate with warehouse and transportation teams to coordinate arrivals and departures
• Organize paperwork and maintain accurate records
• Address driver questions respectfully and handle challenging interactions calmly, escalating concerns when needed

Primary Requirements:

• Clear and professional verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to read and write legibly and complete paperwork accurately
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to remain professional during difficult interactions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to and from work

Desired Skills:

• Previous transportation, logistics, warehouse office, or driver check-in experience preferred
