HR Coordinator

Join the MVT family Mesilla Valley Transportation is hiring an HR Coordinator in El Paso, TX! Job Summary The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support and performing a variety of Human Resources functions. This position ensures effective use of plans, policies and procedures and maintains positive employee relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists Human Resources Director and Management on employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Processes required new hire paperwork, transfers, pay increases, and other employment matters. Enters new employee hires in the system and reports to corresponding agencies. Terminates employees in computer systems. Maintains computer systems by updating and entering data. Maintains and stores records of personnel files, identifies missing information, and updates files to include all relevant data.

Responds to employee questions and provides outstanding customer service. Assists with day-to-day HR operations. Collaborates with team members to enhance employee engagement. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Participates in departmental staff meetings Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Two years of human resources support experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications. Willing and able to travel to all company locations in El Paso, TX, Santa Teresa, NM and Las Cruces, NM, as needed.
