The Role

• Installation of a variety of cable types and electrical systems, including junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, and switches.
• Performing cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment according to technical specifications.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Collaborating with shipbuilding teams to ensure efficient and timely completion of electrical installations.
• Ensuring all work strictly complies with safety and quality standards.
• Contributing to the power and control systems for cutting-edge naval vessels.

What You'll Need

• Completion of a Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification.
• Holding a valid SJIB card.
• Proven experience in marine installations or major industrial environments.
• Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working requirements.
• Ability to read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions.
• Understanding of tag-out processes and safe proving-dead procedures.
